If you go online the Sony Vaio Model No VPCEB11FM has a 320GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive when it came from the factory. I wouldn't see why this one wont work. You will need to the restore disk for this computer since your other hard drive doesn't work. I will see if Sony has these disk before purchasing the hard drive. At times they might not be able to get the disk for you and you might just need to purchase a new computer. Good Luck

If you really want to disassemble this unit to pry the drive out of it, it would likely work - but I would suggest to you save money, time and aggravation just by purchasing the correct hard drive.
