- Answer The WD that I bought would not fit in my Inspiron 1545, the screw holes did not line up for the drive to seat properly. I contacted WD support about the issue and they suggested I return the drive. I ending up buying the exact type that came out of the Dell.

QuestionWill this Hard drive fit in my Dell inspirion 1525 laptop that had windows XP on it? The ome harddrive I took out of it was a WD Scorpio 2.5" SATA 125GB HDD. I tried replacing it with a WD blue sata 2.5" 500GB HDD, but my OS wouldn't find it.
