Did you activate USB port? Also Netgear routers need firmware update for devices over certain storage space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If I'm reading right your router has to be up to date. There is a ton of info on the web, but I found this video. Looks like you use something called 'ready cloud' and it warns you to update your router to the newest firmware...etc. Will let you watch the video, and hope it helps. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but you can get an inexpensive NAS such as Synology. If NAS has a data USB port you could connect WD to it and network will see it. Also the ones I bought are WD Reds which can be shucked for NAS.....Just say'n
