Sata 3 over USB 3.1 (5Gbps) speed. 5400 rpm. I believe mine are 256Mb cache.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only assure and answer to this by cracking open the case BUT from my exploits with the drive I serious doubt its a 7200, it is slow and in fact either under buffered and/or an odd speed like 5300 rpm (although MOST externals claim 5900)s. DON"T expect 7200 rpm from external drives in 2018, plus the Helium incasing and peeled layers required to pack 10 TB into a 3.5" format cannot achieve 7200 rpm just yet (still shelved no doubt). I've yet to see a 6 gb/s on all the file copies I've done on this drive. Hope that's helpful
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know the stats you request- you may get that from the Western Digital web site but I have an oldish Sony Vaio with a ITB SSD hard drive, with i7 CPU and USB 1 ports and it backed up the 350GB on the SSD in about 4 hours - so in my book it is pretty quick and it would be much quicker on USB 2 & 3 I guess
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sata III, 7200, luck of the draw...some more some less, but most 256..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think they’re 7200 however I can confirm standard transfer rates in excess of 200Mbps. I have 3X of these 10TB units & all 3 (nearly) silently wisk my data to & fro @ >200Mbps. Cache is 256mb :)
