Is this drive password protected? null

WD software bundled with the storage disk has an encryption option.

No password protection on the HDD, it is a standard external storage unit. The USB included with it does have the Sandisk vault application on it for you to store things with a password however.

It does not have hardware encryption. You can, however add a password with programs like bitlocker.

I did not try 10TB yet. But I have setup a password on 32GB flash drive. It is using encryption.
