Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, that's just what the SMART field is populated with. These are 7200 rpm drives, with the heat, power use and noise of a 7200 rpm drive. I think it might be that they can't pass QA as 7200 drives, so they get derated in SMART and put into enclosures where the spindle speed isn't part of the specs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So I must understand, that the 14 Tb ( 5400 rpm) is slower than the 12 Tb model (7200 rpm) ? I need it to stream 4k videos....I actually have an easystore 8tb, and it`s very fast. What do you advice me, buy the Wd Easystore of 12 or 14 Tb. Thanks !!!!
