“Hi, I recently ordered this hard drive and tried to connect to linux system. But it didn't work. It says "An error occurred while accessing 'easystore', the system responded: org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.UnknownFilesystemType: Unknown file 'ntfs'"”

NTFS is a windows file system. It should read it though. But try reformatting it into a file system that works with Linux.

linux might not know ntfs, format to ext or something like that
