Yes it is. Just bought two of these back during Black Friday for both of my pc's running Windows 7. My pc's are equipped with both 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports and the drive works just fine in either one. You may notice a slower transfer speed using the 2.0 USB port but nothing too serious. Hope this helps!

Please try again later.It should work with any computer but what you’re really asking is is it backwards compatible because I know that it’s 3.0 and generally in the world of computers, especially hard drives and USB ports anything that’s below meaning if something is 2.0 but the unit is 3.0 then it should definitely work I would be shocked if it didn’t.
