A:AnswerI would call Dish Network Tech support. I use an external one on mine but it has a separate power supply. When I plugged mine in, the receiver reformatted the external drive. Again this is only my personal experience and my best advice is to call Dish as there are different versions of the Hopper system.
A:AnswerWhen in stalling programs or tranferring document and music and such, You can break the drive up into multiple or 1tb each, you can really do anything you want with it, remember its SPACE , it would save on your pc and there not to slow it down. I love mine , I'm partitioning it to 2 Drives each 1 TB. HAVE FUN
A:AnswerDefinitely yes. It is just an external hard drive and you can store any document in it and the documents can be read again by the respective system that store them, whether it is by a Mac or a PC. The best way is to format the drive in NTFS format. Both Mac and PC can easily read/write NTFS files.
A:AnswerI use it for additional stowage on the Xbox One since the drive is USB 3.0 rated. The Xbox One will reformat the external drive so anything on it will be lost during this process. Make certain you select the correct drive to reformat and not the internal system drive on the Xbox.
I do not know if the Xbox or Xbox 360 will support 3rd party external drives.
Hope this helps
A:AnswerI have a 1 tb portable external WD hard drive attached to my xbox one console .., should work with the PS4 consoles , just go to the PS website ..they should have directions for adding a external portable storage device.
A:AnswerJust like any product they go on and off of sale. If you want a good deal in a computer department item most of the time they tend to go on sale during back to school season, which is June - September. Don't forget that Best Buy also price matches almost all local competitors and some online competitors such as Amazon. Good luck
