“Is it possible to turn of the light in the front of the hard drive? I know you can do it on seagate hard drives because the software that seagate has allows you to turn off the light if you want. Can you do that in this with the western digital software?”

• Yes you can via the settings icon while running the WD HD utilities which comes with the drive.
