All WD drives have deletable folders of optional apps. Other drives, with such bootable partitions containing recovery apps, are few in number. This drive can be wiped, but I would STRONGLY recommend avoiding it in comparison to a My Passport (also wipable). The EasyStore is simply not as durable, and more failure-prone.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No partition but does have a folder with a few files in it that can be erased if you don’t want them. Minimal space used by folder.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is there. I have not tried to delete it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suggest the software in the partition/folder that operates the drive is important. It is there in the event a restore is necessary to new drive after the one currently in use dies. There is almost certainly another way to make sure these files are available; but to me the convenience of having them on the drive with the backup is attractive. Opinions can differ.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it did when you first get it. It has some recovery tools to help you backup your primary drive which is nice if you need them. I had reformatted the whole drive as ExFAT and have around 3.8TB usable space.
