QuestionI use a hp Compaq 6000 all in one computer 8gb ram windows 10 and want to use it for my DAW (HOME STUDIO SOFTWARE) will it be good for my VST software files of instruments. and load fast to my system program files?

- Answer This drive is made more for portability than for speed. If you are looking for a fast loading drive I would recommend the Samsung T5 drive, it costs more but is considerably faster and for system files you need the speed. But if that is out of your price range I would go for the 4tb desktop external hdd's they are faster and more stable than the usb powered variety.

- Answer Yes you can. It's pretty simple to install. It doesn't come with encryption so I would go to the manufacturer's website and download it.

- Answer The only thing I would say that will make it slightly slower than another drive would be the rpm. This drive is a 5400 rpm which is slightly slower than a 7200 rpm or a solid state. It depends on what you are looking for in a drive. If you are a serious gamer running intensive fps where load times are important stick to a faster option. If you are a casual gamer just looking for more hassle free storage this is the way to go! Good luck!

- Answer Only if you manually move files via drag and drop method. Will not automatically copy or backup an older pc. If you setup an older pc for an auto backup it will “Blue Screen” your older pc. Manually drag and drop files you want to copy to the external hard drive then uninstall the application so your older pc would not freeze up.

- Answer It depends on the quality of photos, if each photo was around 1 MB in size then it can hold approx. 3,500,000 pictures. But the quality of photos are is what you should look at, for example an iPhone Pro Max camera takes photos that are around 2.4 MB in size, so then it would hold around 1,700,000 photos. So with 15,000 pictures this should be able to handle that plus many many more!
