• The USB 3.0 standard is backwards-compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.0 devices and connections. Data transmission will be limited, however, to USB 2.0 speeds.

• You should have no problem. This device comes with a cable that is USB 2.0 compatible.

• It should work with the 2.0 USB, but it mighjt be slower because of the old 2.) port

• It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 the only bummer just like anything it'll only gobble up information as quick as you can feed it.

• The USB 3.0 connection is backwards compatible and will work when used with USB 2.0 ports. However keep in mind that once connected to a USB 2.0 host the drive will perform at USB 2.0 speeds
