Hi My2Computers, the drive comes equipped with social media and cloud storage import, password protection and perfectly paired with WD Backup or Time Machine. Moreover, the drive comes formatted exFAT for out-of-the-box and to backup two computer in the single drive we recommend you to check the file system format supported by the computers. You are better off with a smaller HD. Something like a 128GB thumb drive. It might work with this one if you load all the movies and never disconnect the drive. Eveeytime you connect a drive with so much capacity the TV takes forever to scan, list, and display your content. I use a 256GB Solid State Drive to watch 4k movies and it's perfect.
