A:Answer Yes, it will, although it keeps the drive spinning constantly and prevents you from accessing the drive for other things. Maybe I had time machine configured badly or something, but once time machine kicked off, I was unable to get to any other items that I had on the drive. Had to stop using time machine. If you're only going to use it for time machine then you should be fine.
