Plex is software that runs on LAN drives like the My Cloud series. USB drives like this cannot run software such as Plex.

Usually certain NAS systems have the capability to run plex I would have to ask W.D Tech Support.I believe I have a NAS drive thats capable to run plex. I'm still learning how to use My 5 Bay NAS. My Internet has been down for 4 days. In another Month I hope to be downloading from a 10gigabit connection. Thanks for asking. John
