• I would say yes, however replace with NAS hard drive, its made for the long term storage.

• You can physically open it up and install a new drive but I am not sure how it is formatted and where the MyCloud software is installed from. You might be able to download and install it on another drive. I have not had to do that yet. Regards, Valsar

• Not sure. If you are good w/modifying/installing new hardware, but I would consult the manufacture before proceeding.

• I have not tried this, but I see no reason why you could not change the hard drive unless the enclosure is damaged.

• You can but will void the warranty, case clips might break if you are not familiar with opening.
