• As long as the USB port can give proper power you should not have any problems transferring files from your laptop to the drive.

• No, you must load files using Wifi/Ethernet cable and use either the apps or the Windows Explorer, the other option is copying files to a USB Stick/Hard Drive, and plugging the unit on the WD NAS , then create a job on the GUI to copy the files, or copy the files from the USB attached to the NAS using the explorer

• No. You can not use the USB for loading data. The USB is for adding another storage device.
