My Mac saw the drive immediately as a back up location, and TimeMachine worked great for about 12 hours. Then it started throwing incessant "drive is in use" errors and stopped backing up. Rebooting the drive clears the problem up for another 12-20 hours, then it happens again. Every day, so far. I have disabled the powersaving/sleep mode on the drive, that didn't help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I have 3 macs using this simulataneously for TM
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 2 identical Macs at work. I was NOT able to get the drive to create separate folders for each computer using Time Machine which is what I would prefer and password protect each. Time Machine wants to dump files from both computers into the same location. Time Machine also did not like the folders to be password protected on the WD so I had to leave it open. Because I was short on time I was never able to figure it out so my backup files are readable by anyone on the network...not good. Not sure if the problem is Time MAchine or the WD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No no issues as of yet. Device came prepped already for time machine backups.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't used it as a Time Machine, but when you set up the drive, you have the ability to set it up as such. You shouldn't have any difficulty!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had no issues using time machine with it, following the included instructions. I currently have it setup on 2 different Macs as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No problem setting up the Cloud Storage with TimeMachine. You can select the external hard drive as your backup disk and there is no need to partition the drive at all. Just a word of caution that it is quite slow for the first backup and it could take days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None that I've run across on my iMac 2014 — 21"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sorry. I don't have experience with this NAS and TimeMachine. I only access the NAS from PC. The product does mention it works with TimeMachine backup...and has a default folder on it for that.
