• Cloud is an option. You just connect the network cable from the device to your router and use it. I don't use the cloud option myself but it seems easy to use if you wanted to.

• No and YEs. It is not wireless, it must be plugged in. But once you have it operational any device on your network (wireless devices too) can access it.

• I use this as a backup for 2 computers (each with their own private folder). My setup has it wired to my hub. The public folder it creates can be access by both, I use it to move files back and forth between them with out any problems.
