Yes you can add any external hard drive connection to the back to give yourself more storage power. The holes in the back are power, Ethernet, USB port for more storage and a reset button.

Please try again later.According to both the Best Buy sales guy that helped me and the documentation that came with the drive, you can simply plug in any other hard drive with a USB connection to the port on the back of this MyCloud to increase the amount of storage. Seems like a great feature, but with the 4TB available on my unit, I haven't needed to do that yet.

However, it does not create a single partition. Instead, it appears on the network as a single server with a 4GB drive and a 3GB drive.

If you think you need more storage space, you're better off purchasing either a larger drive or a secondary NAS.
