Really still worried about Windows XP? But cross platform to Linux, Apple and Microsoft products ... you can turn on NFS ... and map drives to all these devices. Works like a charm.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be setup to backup at specific times or 24x7. It does connect to the home network via a Ethernet cord. You can use separate users and pw's to access files. I'm not sure if it supports XP Pro.

I have this drive hooked up to a router (ASUS RT‑AC68U), and I am to access it with computers/devices on MAC OS X 10.12, Windows 7/8/10, iOS 10, and Android 7. I am able to stream to a Fire Stick, using VLC with no problems.
