Yes it comes with 4 drives for a total of 16TB. BUT that is if you have all drives show as one drive. If you want security and not lose data you will need to change the RAID to a different setting which will decrease the 16 TB down to 8 TB. Personally I would want the safety of having this RAID set up so you do not lose data if a drive fails and they do fail.
