• Hi BoyWonder, The My Cloud Home ships with a Gigabit Ethernet Interface and plugs directly into your network router. The My Cloud Home is compatible with the WD Discovery software for both Windows and macOS, your user account - or better spoken - your storage capacity on the My Cloud Home - will be mapped automatically into your file explorer or Finder as an additional drive letter. • I run only PC/windows and have no problem. I'm not that familiar with Apple, but it is listed as compatible with Apple. I'm sure it can be made to work with both, but it may require different partitions for each. Windows can read an apple drive if it is defined as such.
