“Does this device have a media player that is compatible with Smart TVs like the older My Cloud devices?”

• Other WD devices, like their NAS box are available to things like Smart TVs or Media paliers but I don't thing this one is because you require an APP to access the data on it. I do believe that they still offer the same device with NAS firmware installed that would make this work.

• My Cloud can save media as a hard drive/server but the media recorder/DVR would have to come from the Roku, Chromecast or Smart TV.
