You can mail to supplier to see if they ship it to india or you may know it prior placing order. Now if its 120-240 V there is no problem but if its only 120 V, you still can use it by using voltage converter if available. I, once needed some appliance to use in different country where voltage was 240 and some guy made some changes in original adapter by reducing some coil in it and i used it for long time on 240 volt directly in wall outlet. Bottom line is voltage converter can be found somehow if you have to use this device.

It comes with a 12volt DC adapter that convers your home AC power to DC. Will it work in India? Possibly. Unfortunately, I don't own it yet but if someone could look at the power adapter and report what is specified. Unfortunately, when I looked at the manual on the WD support page, it wasn't that specific. What they are looking for is the label that specifies the power range. Hopefully it will say 110v-240v 50/60hz. If so, you are in luck and it will auto convert from your home current, and the most you will have to do is get a travel plug adapter to convert the plug from US standard to (guessing with India's colonialization history) British three prong that has an internal fuse or whatever is used in India. Now if the adapter just specifies the US 110/120 volt and India has 220/240 volt then it would not work. The adapter must specify either the entire range or the range specific to the country.
