“iPhone 6+/iPad Air, etc., wireless access from how far away?? I was told by a BB rep that this would allow me to access my files via a data connection on my iOS devices and/or others, from ANYWHERE that I had a data connection. Is that truly the case? e.g., let's say I'm in Tibet, and my home is in Ohio, USA. does this device allow me access to my files as long as I have a data connection? sort of just don't understand fully how powerful this device is, or is not. Help?”

Yes, it is supposed to do that once you register the device on WD's site, but I returned the device because it was not stable. If you have a lot of files to back up, this system is very slow.

This involves opening a secure connection from WD Cloud to your Cloud Mirror device then you use your mobile device through the cloud to access your files.
