If you have critical data that you need back, you will have to reach out to companies that specialize in data recovery. These services can be very costly and do not guarantee complete recovery so consider if its worth the trouble.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had external drives fail, and a friend of mine who is a really good IT guy has been able to get the files off. I'm not sure if WD will do that or not. I think Best Buy will do it for a fee.
