Yes, backups can be done at the same drive. This is what WD Cloud Mirror calls 'Internal Backups'. Just simply create a dedicated share for it. WD Cloud Mirror allows backup can be scheduled to be daily, weekly or monthly. Backup types are Copy, Synchronize and Incremental. No fees at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to download the Western Digital backup software. You can do just about any type of backup you want with the software however I have not worked out the process of how to do the same thing online.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot mirror any computers. -- The idea is to mirror what is put on the active side / and or used / side of the my mirror. -- You can put anything you want on the active side of the my mirror and it will mirror to the second hard drive. -- This includes backups. -- I use my "My Mirror" as the working unit for all my computers "4". We do not do any of our work on our PC's or Laptop's. Everything is done on the "MY Mirror" which is automatically backed up to the 2nd hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device does not do full backups of your computer. You can use something like Acronis to do that. This will backup data that you store on the external hard drive to the cloud e.g. documents, pictures, etc. Lastly there is no monthly fee. If you get a 4 TB drive you have 4 TBs of data storage on the WD MyCloud servers. Regards, Valsar
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your only limitation is space. You can connect as many computers as you like via your network (wifi or hardwire). I use windows 10 file history function and it works ok but the drive does come with its own backup software
