“Can I back up photos from Mac book then back up photos from pc windows 10 or will it be formatted to what ever I plug in first? Thx”

• Correct, you'll have to format it to what you want, Of course, you can always RE format it, buuuuuut, you'll lose everything on the drive. Grrrr!
