• No extra backup program needed. It comes with a company program, I personally don't use this program. Works very well with Windows 10

• I think WD has backup software on the drive but I use Acronis so I have never tried to see if WD works. I am using with Windows 10 Pro and haven't had a problem.

• I'm using it with a Mac, but it works with both MacOs and Windows. I don't know enough about Windows 10 these days, but if there's a backup option (which there most likely is), it will almost certainly work with the drive. Consumer drives are very user friendly these days.
