There will not be a pouch in the contents of the box. The cases are usually nearby at Best Buy, and aren't that expensive. If you are going to be fairly mobile, you'll want a case to just throw the hard drive in your back pack. You can use the hard drive with a PC as well, but it requires a few minutes with disk utility to reformat the hard drive. You can choose a format that works for both, or, and I recommend this, you can partition the hard drive and format each partition for the operating system you choose. Your Mac of course will be able to see both. The PC will only see the partition that is formatted for PCs. I did this before naming the Mac side the "Good side" and the PC side the "Bad Side" kind of referencing the Force from Star Wars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it's formatted as Mac OS Extended, then it cannot be used on a PC. It is formatted as FAT32, then it can be. If it comes preformatted as Mac OS Extended, you can reformat it as FAT32 on your Mac using the Disk Utility in the Utilities folder inside Applications.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are instructions to format the drive to work with a PC, however, it did not appear to me that you could run both systems on this drive at the same time. there is no pouch, however the hard case seems very sturdy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use at same time with Mac and PC. No carrying case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No pouch, just the HD and USB3 cable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i'm using PC with mac right now. The answer is Yes and No. Tricky part is when you decide which version you primarily set this device up first. If you set it up for PC, your Mac also can read files but cannot transfer files from Mac to your device nor opposite way either.(ex; you can watch movies but cannot move file to your mac). If you set device for Mac from the beginning, then it won't work on your PC at all. Hope it helps your concern!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not come with a pouch. Just the drive itself and a usb cord. Its nice and small. Little bigger than a deck of cards. The drive works for either Mac or PC, but I believe you need to have it formatted one way or another, but not both. It already comes ready to plug into the mac. i use mine with my mac and love it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First, no pouch. You'd think they could give you one, but no dice on that. Mac and PC use different formats with their drives. You MIGHT be able to save data, but I'd use different drives for different formats.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I keep it in the small box it comes in - inside the plastic container with the cord that I need to use with it. There is no pouch. My unit says it is Passport for Mac. They may make them also for Windows. I use a back-up called Click-Free for Windows that is very easy to use and restore files when needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model HDD did not come with a storage pouch. When I travel, it is small enough to fit into a pocket on my laptop case. The model comes in a Mac (HFS+) version and a Windows (MS DOS) version. Macs can read and write to/from Windows-formatted media but Windows cannot read or write to/from Mac-formatted media. If you need to read and write both Mac and Windows files to/from the same HDD, the HDD must be formatted using MS-DOS.
