Plug in the device to your old computer. Go to "my computer" and open the folder for this device. Simply drag and drop files or copy and paste files into the folder. When finished just unplug device then plug into new computer. Again go to my computer then open the folder for this device. Copy/paste or drag/drop files to the new computer. Voila!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to the Start Menu. Type Windows Easy Transfer. Open the program and select an external drive to back up your profile to. Save the profile, and then open the same program on the new Laptop. It will copy the info back into whatever profile you select. Very easy program to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It works just like a very large jump drive. Just move files to the passport then move to the new computer or just use the passport and keep the computer clean of files

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The product comes with software and a USB cable. The software will guide you through the process of transferring your data. The owner's manual also comes with the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is easy. Just plug the device into a USB port on the old computer, drag the files you want to move into it (a window opens that you can drag in to), then plug it in to the laptop and reverse the process. It want work for programs like Office that resist transfer, but for data files it is quick and easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Easy, just plug the passport into the old computer, drag the data files into the window that opens, then plug it in to the laptop and drag them out. As long as both devices have USB ports this is quick and simple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A very lengthy process, depending on what you call files. There are your Documents, Pictures, Videos, Email export of Contacts, and then depending on how organized you are, anywhere else you put things on the computer that you want to save. You could do a simple copy of the files to the passport, or you could use a backup software like O&O that allows a backup and then a file restore of selected files from the backup. At least that way, you have everything in case you miss something and want it later. Just be aware of things you will have to create, like the export of Contacts to a file.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.sure, it's easy to transfer your data using this drive.
