I own both a laptop and desktop configured with the latest public release for Windows 10. Drive works just fine on both!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the hard drive will be read as an external drive by any version of windows. There are no special drivers needed. Windows will read it just like it reads the computer's internal hard drive (the C: Drive). It will take the next available letter after your internal drive and and CD/DVD rom drives and any recovery partitions (ex. D: showing as a drive).
