No. I would not suggest doing this. It may be technically feasible. But security cameras require a better interface speed like SATA.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is possible only if your security camera controller has accommadations for saving to an external hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a Samsung system and it transfers, but in an unrecognizable format. We are still trying to find the proper fix for this problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have not supplied enough information to answer your question fully. Without knowing the security software or cameras being used it would be difficult to answer correctly. I would contact the camera supplier & ask that question of them for the correct answer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know your exact configuration, but I'll say no. Depending upon the number of cameras, the frame rate and the resolution I would not recommend this solution. You want a drive or set of drives that are SATA or eSATA attached. In larger installations you can use a NAS drive with a gigabit connection if the number of cameras allows it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure I don't see why not as long as your security system is hooked up thru your computer to tell it where to store the recordings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your Camera systems allows you to do it, then yes. but you have to consider the speed of your computer and USB ports. as it can make slower the transfer and the recording. its better to first save it on the local HD and then transfer it on the external Storage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes just upload the video to the drive an it will be there until u delete it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends more on your camera than the hard drive, if you camera can write to a usb storage unit then it will work with this drive, if not then probably not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
