QuestionIs this the latest generation of My Passport Ultra, the one that was just released or will be? If so, I was under the impression that it would have a USB-C with USB 3.1 port. It lists a "USB-C adapter" but also "data transfer with USB 3.0"... which is it?

QuestionMy 2t hard drive back-up is full. Will a 4t re-copy what is already on the 2t and/ or will a new 2t also re-copy the previously copied info? Thanks

- Answer Hello, We would like to inform you that you could copy the data of 2TB from your old drive to a new drive of 2TB or 4TB . You could simply drag n drop the data from old drive to the new drive by connecting both the drives to the computer at the same time. QuestionWill these drives take pics and files from android phones with type c plug. Sorry im computer illit. Do the 5 T drives do the same. Are they backward compat to use usb 2.0 and 3.0 with adapter?

QuestionIn WD website say it has a USB 3.2 GEN 1 port, and here in Bestbuy say is a USB 3.0 and 3.1?? Please you should be clear.

- Answer I have never used the USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection but it comes with a USB 3/2 adapter. I use it with the adapter on a USB 3 port and it works well.

QuestionAll of these My Passport backups are referred to as portable hard drives. Are they actually hard drives or are they SSDs? I used portable hard drives years ago, (Cross Fire and others.) and they were highly susceptible to damage with even small bumps.
