This is a shock resistent? null

Yes. My kids have dropped and banged it around and so far it still works fine.

All good quality portable hard drives are shock resistant -- the only thing you should be careful of -- do not damage the USB Connector Plug. (I stepped on mine and bent it, but new USB cable connector fixed it)
