Maybe. First, you would have to transfer your home movies to a computer somewhere, so that you can see the type of video format that it's converting the movies to. From there, you would have to run a test to see if the WDTVLive would be able to play it. The WDTVLive DOES NOT have it's own HDD of any kind. You could either put the movies on a USB Flash Drive/Jump Drive or even on an USB External Hard Drive, and plug them into the WDTVLive or you could share them over the network. From there, you would have to test to see if the WDTVLive Media Player would be able to decode and play your movies. BJ
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't come with any storage but can play from just about anything . You would have to move files to comp and put them on something usb or stream from comp. to save them I'd put them on a dvd
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WD TV Live doesn't come integrated with a hard drive. It's great a playing virtually any file format from a number of different sources including USB storage devices, network drive and any computer on your network. You'd be able to play those home videos on your TV with this device if they're stored on one of those sources.
