• Yes, it's compatible with Google Assistant - no hub is required, however, it does require the Wemo app for setup, and you MUST be able to have separate SSIDs for your 2.4 and 5gHz networks. If you are a Spectrum customer and have a newer wifi router, it may not support this configuration. Your phone must be able to connect via 2.4gHz, and your Wemo mini plug must be able to distinguish the 2.4gHz network. Don't even try otherwise - you will not succeed.

• They say it's compatible, but it isn't. The latest update bricked these for everyone using Google Assistant

• It is compatible with Google Assistant, but you initially need the wemo app to connect it to your WiFi.
