I wouldn't think so, A/C run pretty hot (current wise) and can have a significant surge when powering up. These WeMo only have a standard 15 amp plug style. I would guess an A/C unit would require a 20 amp plug config. These are meant for more household fixtures, lights, and other standard fixtures.
