Yes, you can connect your tv to the VGA cable and use the monitor as a computer. There are apps on the tv that you can also connect to your computer too. If you have an Apple TV, you can use the apps to connect to your computer that way also. Of course you need to sign up or sign in with your password. Hope this helps!
