I am not sure what HDR really means. But, if has to do with picture quality, the Westinghouse 44" HD television I recently purchased provides a fantastic image. 3840/2160 pixels is three times what I had prior. The image is just great. Note: it does require a smiliar signal, so some screens will seem fuzzy or so, but it is not the TV, it is the broadcast signal. The detail is great. Also, the sound is much better than my old set & I do not have any fancy add-on speakers. Three HDMI ports are handy two as I now use cable & Amazon Fire. One must have a very good high-speed internet to use the new options like Fire. And, by using Best Buy, I was able to purchase this fine machine for a very low price saving me almost a thousand dollars? And if it were not for the good products & pricing from Best Buy, I would not even have such a great device. But be a diligent shopper. Know the marks & check the specs before you buy. I bought it all on-line with it being delivered to my door, saving me a 50 mile trip to the nearest Best Buy store, saving gas money, polluting the environment & having the time to seek out the best. A friend of mine turned me on to Best Buy by his recent purchase. If you are looking for picture quality, look to the specs & nomenclature can be misleading.
