There is no Off choice for either WiFi or LAN. When you set up a connection, you choose Wired or Wireless. If you choose Wired, the TV does not scan for WiFi connections and is not visible to other devices scanning for connections. Seems to be turned off. You can set up wired and wireless connections, and select which one you want to use. When you choose Wired, WiFi is disconnected, the TV does not scan. and is not visible. When you choose Wireless, LAN is disconnected and inactive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not a question of turning it off, but a question of what you select to use during the setup process. YES you can do either. When you set up the internet connection, you can select to use WiFi or to hardwire the TV to your home internet. At first I could not connect this Westinghouse TV with my WIFI in my house, and had to use an extender and an ethernet cable to connect to internet on this TV. Since I recently changed to a MESH network, I've been able to connect this TV wirelessly using my home WiFI. BUT YES you have a choice with this Westinghouse TV when you set it up. In another room I have a 32 inch TLC Roku TV and with that it only connects wirelessly.
