A:Answer If you have a good antenna, you don't need wifi to get over the air TV. That's the way my mother uses the TV. I like the Mohu Leaf Antenna which is also sold at Best Buy. If you go to the Mohu Leaf antenna website you can enter your zip code to see what channels you get where you live. I've tried many antennas and the Mohu leaf was best in my house in Philly.
To stream or use apps, movies, etc you need WiFi. My mother has one of these Westinghouse Roku TV's and so do I. She only uses it for OVER THE AIR and I mostly use mine for streaming and apps.
