“Hey I was wondering, before I bought this, if the second shelf up was required for stability or not. I'd like to use this as a turntable stand, and would love to have room for some records in the bottom. Can I ditch one of the shelves?”

• You’ll be ok to go without that shelf. The stand is sturdy enough without it.

• The second shelf is not for stability at all. It is solely for stacking purposes. The stability of the tower is from the top and bottom shelves only. They are attached to the back panel only. So, your records should be secure.
