Dear Valued Consumer: The space requirements are from the cook top surface to the bottom of the cabinet above. This measurement is 30- 33 inches. When considering height, you must consider that you have either a smoothtop range or a gas range with grates that extend up above the cook top. You also might consider the size of the pots you will be using. If you have a large stock pot that you use often, you will need to consider whether you will have room for this on your cooktop under the microwave. In this instance you may want 33 inches of space, if not 30 may do. Model WMH1163XVQ is 17 ¼ inches high in the back and 16 ¼ in the front.
