• Replaced mine with a dimmable led and it works great. Matches my under cabinet lighting. Hate the yellow look of yesteryear lighting in the kitchen. its a G9 bulb. use this for your search G9 LED Bulb Pathway Lights Dimmable 2W (20W Halogen Equivalent) Warm White 3000K G9 Base 2835. The lighting shows up more like 5.5k or 6k and works great.

• No. It is an incandescent. You can replace it with an aftermarket LED if you choose.
