• A:Answer It constantly melts and drains old ice and makes new ice. The model I purchased needed an external pump to drain/remove the water from melted ice.

• A:Answer You should use a nickel-safe ice machine cleaner. White vinegar works pretty well too. You need an acid cleaner to remove the scale deposits. ONLY after it is thoroughly rinsed, you need a chlorine bleach solution to remove the mildew and mold. Sometimes it takes a couple of rounds of each. A good bit of the mineral scale and mildew is not really washed by the cleaning cycle though... it takes some manual cleaning once in a while...

• A:Answer They are, but Best Buy is Terrible when it comes to Customer Service and scheduling for installation. I was on the phone 4 times because of phantom cancelations for installation and haul away. When your time is valuable, Best Buy doesn't care. They canceled an appointment for an installation and Haul Away without notifying me the canceled the appointment. Just Terrible.

• A:Answer It depends on the “hardness” of the water in your home. Basically, the higher the calcium content, the more often you will need to clean it. The “clean” light is only based on a preset time from the factory. It may be way too soon or not soon enough
