Q: QuestionNoise levels of ventsHow noisy is this microwave? How many vent levels are there?

• A:Answer 4 speeds. High is fairly loud, but moving that much air is - it is really moving. There are two installation options, vent into room and vent through wall to exterior. Mine is installed with internal venting, so I am sure the noise I get is the maximum when on High. Low setting is really quiet. Neat feature I didn't notice prior to installing is the fan can be set to sense range top heat and will turn on vent when it senses heat.

• A:Answer If you are replacing a previously owned over the range microwave you can do it yourself for free. We put ours up ourselves using the instructions and a few tools-power drill helps. This microwave was taller than our previous Kenmore so we lost one inch of space above our stove, but have not found that to be a problem.

Q: Questionwhat type of mounting is required?

• A:Answer There is a wall mount bracket that supports the bottom of the back of the unit (unit drops into two slots and unit pivots up into place). There is an installation template and at least two holes need drilled. 2 x wood screws into studs or 2 x lag bolts into drywall hold the bracket in place. If you have the same brand and size you "may" not need to replace what you have. The front is held in place with two long screws which need holes drilled in the bottom of the overhead cabinet (template for these too). There is a third hole required in the bottom of the overhead cabinet for the plug to pass through (you need a standard 110V three prong outlet in the overhead cabinet). If you are replacing a unit it will be there.

• A:Answer It comes ready to vent into the room, so external venting is not required. Ventless? The vent is to draw from the range top, through the carbon filter and into the room or it can be adjusted to vent externally (if you have that available). I suppose you don't have to run it?
