Questioncant find a refrigerator that fits in an opening 36"w i keep looking for one that is not more than 35 1/2" and everything shows 35.88 , 35.862 or 36w . I dont want to buy a 33w, out of the question. i have 25cu now but can go lower, maybe 21cu help!

- Answer It should fit a 36 inch opening. Mine was so close at 36 in. and the Quartz was not cut perfectly straight and they had to come out and shave it down. I have 3/16 on one side and 1/8 on the other side. It still slides in and out fine.

QuestionBase cabinets are 24” deep. Even if you add a couple inches of countertop, the refrigerator (without the door) will protrude almost 2 inches. I think the term counter depth is misleading as this can only be achieved with custom cabinets.

- Answer The refrigerator is that deep to allow for the doors to open all the way. The doors have to clear the countertop. If it was shorter, the doors would hit the countertop.
